Our Teach-In series uses film to create awareness about significant contemporary issues and provoke dialogue and discussion. They are held twice a month and are free-of-charge, although a donation will be requested.
Panel discussion with Jerome McDonnell, host of WBEZ's Worldview
A burgeoning worldwide movement, Unconditional Basic Income would pay everyoneregardless of needa guaranteed basic income, and empower them to become entrepreneurs, creators, thinkers. German artist, activist, filmmaker Enno Schmidt is a leader of this "European" idea (now being tested in Oakland, California and considered in Scotland and elsewhere), and recently led a movement for adoption of Unconditional Basic Income in Switzerland.
This program of selections from Enno Schmidt's films and a panel discussion moderated by Jerome McDonnell, host of WBEZ's Worldview, will look at the ideas, principles and potential reality of an economic transformation which would eliminate wage slavery, bring parity and opportunity to everyone.
