Film still: The Reader

International Latino Cultural Center of Chicago
Presented by
The Chicago Latino Reel Film Club

A college student is kidnapped by a pair of hoodlums and forced to translate a German manuscript written by her professor. The manuscript contains the clues about the whereabouts of a mysterious briefcase that may have once fallen in the hands of Karen, a stripper, and Cachorro, a cab driver. The lines between reality and fiction are blurred as the reader immerses herself in the text in this imaginative thriller.
