"A mesmerizing road movie"
"Surprisingly tender... uncommonly perceptive"
½ "There's something endearing, if not uncanny, about the way the film evokes universal truths about erotic wandering through the extremely specific figure of the French gay man, and Parisian white and preppy gayness in particular"
"This is a beautifully shot film whose visuals work well with its philosophical approach to life and relationships"
Los Angeles Times
On an ordinary night in Paris, Pierre takes one last look at the sleeping body of his lover Paul, and then takes off into the early morning light. Pierre's only guide is his Grindr dating app, which leads him on a series of random encounters with a cast of characters across the French countryside, without any clear destination. However, nothing is private in this modern age, and Paul, mystified and upset by Pierre's disappearance, sets out after him, using his own phone to track Pierre's movements in this strange and wonderful game of Grindr cat-and-mouse. Thus, Jérôme Reybaud's witty debut alternates between being a languid chase film, a gorgeous road-trip movie, as well as a story imbued with sensuality, humor and surprising tenderness.
