There is something for everyone at Facets, whether you're helping with film screenings, assisting our marketing department, working on film festivals, or, most importantly, becoming a member. More than gaining experience, you'll become part of a community that dates back to 1975. Explore all the possibilities for you at Facets: Facets Cinémathèque Volunteer Help operate Facets Cinémathèque, one of the longest running independent cinemas in Chicago. Roles involve ticket and concession sales, and you'll met a slew of interesting volunteers and patrons in the process. We screen cutting-edge foreign and independent films 364 days a year in our two theaters. That includes festivals, director retrospectives, premieres, re-discoveries, and special programs, such as CineChats with critics like Michael Wilmington or CineEvents with directors like Dusan Makavejev. Facets Film School classes are geared towards film enthusiasts who are looking for a stimulating forum to meet people interested in similar films, directors, and genres. You'll enjoy exciting screenings and provocative discussions led by knowledgeable Chicago-area scholars, critics, and filmmakers. Six-week evening courses are offered seasonally on any number of topics and genres. Click here for details. Facets Film/Marketing Internships Whether you're in college, a recent graduate, or in between positions, a Facets Internship is a great way to gain nonprofit experience, find networking opportunities, and to learn valuable skills in a terrific environment. No matter what your level of education or field of study, you'll be able to play some role in our film festivals, marketing campaigns, film screenings, children's programs, and more. Facets Children's and Youth Program Internships The Chicago International Children's Film Festival (CICFF), a project of Facets, is the largest festival of films for children in North America, presenting hundreds of the best films for kids from around the world in exciting, world-class competition.
