Two men, one 82, the other 93, recount what happened in the fishing village of Golden Meadow, Louisiana, during two weeks in the summer of '38. As leaders of opposing sides of the Shrimp War of 1938, each tells the truth, his truth, and each inevitably contradicts the other. Neighbors and relatives don period costumes, drive vintage cars and ride '30s era boats to recreate the shrimp war. Cajun French with English subtitles.
