A hilarious satire about the lower fringes of the film industry, settling on a failed director's (Robert Wuhl) last chance at redemption when his script about a tormented, self-destructive painter is bought by a fading producer (Martin Landau). The problems ensue when each of the ego-driven financiers demands his respective girlfriend be cast in the lead. With Danny Aiello, Robert De Niro, Sheryl Lee Ralph, Laurie Metcalf and in a wonderful cameo, Christopher Walken.
