IFP/Chicago and Facets Cinémathèque present
MEET THE FILMMAKERS monthly series
Two Films from the IFP/Chicago Summer
Production Mentorship Program:
HUSH and DIVISION 201
Our award winning young filmmakers will be in attendance!
The IFP/Chicago Summer Production Mentorship Program seeks to address the lack of diversity in independent media. Throughout the program, 15 students learn about film production by making a short film as well as a "making of" documentary. These students saw the real work of taking a project from script-to-screen and some of them have gone on to win Emmys for their work.
Hush is the inspiring story of how four teens, Kelly, Dee-Dee, Jordan and Shayne, struggle with adolescence.
Division 201 is a fascinating, unique film that explores what happens when a foreign exchange student visits a racially divided homeroom classroom in Chicago
