Wrong Cops is about a motley group of cops trying to get rid of a body that one of them shot by mistake. Filled with the outlandish, borderline surreal comedy filmmaker Quentin Dupieux gleefully exploited in his two previous features, Rubber (2010) and Wrong& (2012). This strange film features a stellar ensemble cast of comedians, actors and musicians including Eric Warheim (Tim & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!), Steve Little (Eastbound & Down), Arden Myrin (Bachelorette), Marilyn Manson, as well as Ray Wise and Grace Zabriskie (who played Laura Palmer's parents on Twin Peaks).
Though similar in title and style, this film is not a sequel to Wrong, even though both films share cast members and Dupieux's weird sensibilities. Dupieux has said that he has just gotten "lazy with titles" and that the two films are not supposed to be connected. He writes, directs, edits, does the cinematography and scores his own movies, and in Clubland, he is known under his electro alter ego, Monsieur Oizo, a homonym of "oiseau" or bird.
Wrong Cops will undoubtedly appeal to those who have tuned in to his unique vision and voice. "I lean toward the absurd because I find it absurd to film real life." (Quentin Dupieux)
