Sculptor Louise Bourgeois lifts the veil on her life and work in this revealing portrait of a modern artist. Focusing on themes of sexuality, femininity and isolation, her work has been associated with all the major artistic movements of the 20th century. In a career that spans 50 years she has been at the vanguard, moving from painting to sculpture and finally performance art.
In her life she remains outspoken and provocative. Louise Bourgeois is a powerful documentary on a profound artist.
Directed by Camille Guichard, France, DVD, 52 mins. In French with English subtitles.
