"Pleasantly un-Hollywood...If You Love Me Follow Me radiates conviction"
-Variety
A man in his mid-thirties ponders leaving his adult responsibilities behind in favor of following his teenage dreams in this comedy-drama from France. Max (Mathieu Demy) is a successful surgeon working at one of the best hospitals in Paris. However, when he was nineteen, Max played guitar in a rock 'n' roll band, and for all his accomplishments he's never been able to beat the excitement of cranking up his amp in front of an audience. When Max is offered a promotion at the hospital as chief of surgery, he decides that to resign so that he can put his old band back together. Max wants to keep his new career a secret from his wife Anna (Romane Bohringer), at least for a while, so his best friend Praline (Julie Depardieu) and his closest colleague Jojo (Mathias Mlekuz) are sworn to secrecy as Max starts rehearsing in Praline's basement. One day, he meets Chine, a singer (co-scripter Eleanore Pourriat), a gal with a big voice and attitude to match. Max and company have been breaking in a set of new material when Anna learns her husband has quit medicine to play rock and roll, and while she decides to support his new ambitions, this does not mean that she thinks this is a good idea.

ON FIRE
(CA BRÛLE)

A young girl forms an unhealthy fixation on a handsome volunteer fireman in director Claire Simon's emotional teen drama. Livia (Camille Varene) is a fifteen year-old girl who lives in the south of France with her divorced mother. As the summer heat begins to radiate Livia spends most of her days trotting around the small Provençal town atop a horse from her father's farm. A frequent target of ridicule among her peers, Livia's horse emboldens her with a sense of superiority that she just cannot seem to achieve in the classroom. When her father comes to claim the horse and Livia is forced to face her tormentors eye to eye, she begins to turn her attentions increasingly towards happily married husband and father Jean. Her infatuation becomes so intense that she begins to pursue him at any cost, as events threaten to take a tragic turn.
