The Facets Cinémathèque presents a new series showcasing current Czech cinema, with one screening every month of an acclaimed Czech film produced in the past decade. Curated by Irena Kovarova and organized in cooperation with the Czech Center New York. All films in Czech with English subtitles.

It is April 1st and Sylvie cannot resist playing an April Fool's joke on her boyfriend Martin. But a few ill-chosen words might just have changed her life forever. Martin leaves her, and as she desperately searches for him, overcoming one pitfall after another, she hopes that their relationship can survive this crisis. Unfortunately, she has only one day to reverse the course of action and win her love back. Restart is a modern, visually dynamic film that focuses on Prague's club culture where its denizens, night after night, surround themselves with loud music, alcohol and a succession of new partners. This unique experimental drama is a sensitive look at vulnerable and lonely individuals who live in a fragile world of social displacement.
