An intensive 10-week in-school residency provides students with the fundamentals of documentary film production. Students learn documentary film form and structure, interview techniques, concepts of shots and lighting, B-roll production, and work either individually or in teams to create their own short documentary films. For 5th grade and higher.
In this 10-week in-school residency, students learn computer-based animation and coding techniques to create animation or interactive programs on STEM subjects. Emphasis is on relating animation to math concepts, and learning core principles of structure, logic, sequence, computer language and narrative. Working individually, each student creates a short animated film or game. For 6th grade and higher.
Students learn critical analysis and understanding of film andusing Facets resourcesto create their own in-school or after-school film programs. They learn how to curate, organize, operate and promote film-based programs, to lead discussions, organize panels, and create their own school or community-based film festivals.
